Understanding Vaginal Yeast Infection - Symptoms

Common symptoms of vaginal yeast infections include pain, itching, and vaginal discharge.

With a vaginal yeast infection, women may have pain with urination, vulvar itching and irritation, and pain with sexual intercourse. A white, curd-like discharge or watery discharge may also occur with vaginal yeast infections.

Sometimes symptoms of allergic vulvitis or chemical irritation mimic those of a vaginal yeast infection, but the treatment is different.

If you think you have a vaginal yeast infection and symptoms don't resolve with treatment, let your doctor know.
